Once a month, I love to share my favorite things in order to connect with readers and promote the things I love. I hope you enjoy and please comment and let me know what you're up to!
"Once Upon a Time" on Netflix
I know. I am six years behind the times, ya'll. Thank God for Netflix! I don't watch much TV, but this show has sounded interesting to me for years. I just never sat down to try it. But, while the husband is away at a conference, the wife will watch Netflix and I am hooked!
The writers did such a great job paralleling the fairy tales to real life situations and staying true to the heart of each fairy tale. I love the fantasy genre, so this show is up my alley. I also love the overall concepts of good vs. evil and there's more to life than just our current reality.
Elephant and Piggie series by Mo Willems
Eighty percent of the stuff I read right now is for kids five and under - and I am totally cool with that. Cupcake is currently obsessed with Elephant and Piggie. That's a fantastic obsession because these books are hilariously entertaining.
Here are some articles I've read recently that inspired me:
For Where I Have Approval, There My Heart Will Be Also by Grace Cho
on The Mudroom
YES!! I relate to this article SO MUCH.
THIS Is What a 4 Year Old Should Know by Alicia Bayer on Every Mom
This article breathed a sigh of relief into my soul, as we are making kindergarten decisions for my oldest.
The Jesus Storybook Bible Turns 10: The Story Behind the Best Seller by Sarah Eekhoff Zylstra on The Gospel Coalition
This is my favorite Children's Bible and I loved reading the story of how it came to be. As a writer myself, I found it encouraging.
I just can't with these two. Seriously. This was totally unprompted. It makes up for the screeching that occurs when Bug mischievously steals one of his sister's toys and she attempts to rip it from his baby death grip.

1- DIY Mini Dollhouse Suitcase from Crafts Unleashed
How cute is this?!?!
2- Irish Blessing Printable from Yellow Bliss Road
I love the style of this printable AND the blessing-a perfect addition to my not super cutesy St. Patrick's Day decor-because yes, I decorate for St. Patrick's day like a crazy person.
3- Daniel 3:18 Printable from Live Laugh Rowe
I've followed Kelly's blog since before blogging was cool. I love her heart in this post as she shares the pain of infertility-and she gave us a sweet, free printable.
4- Free Printable Bunny Banner from I Should Be Mopping the Floor
At first glance, I thought, "How to I recreate this cute banner?" But, then I realized SHE GAVE IT TO US FOR FREE. SO cute.
For most normal people, change can be scary. I LOVE change. I am especially excited about this one: we bought a house!!
We're in our mid 30s and never bought a house before. There's a lot to that story that maybe I'll share at another time, but mostly we were content renting for many different reasons. This new house is such a gift from the Lord. I don't want to over-spiritualize a material possession, but I do believe God gave us this house to do his work in and I am so excited to create memories and serve him there.
There are very few albums where I love EVERY single song on the album. But, Bastille is 2 for 2 with me. I loved their first album so much, I put off listening to their sophomore album, Wild World. I should've known they would not disappoint!
Normally, I am more of a folksy girl, but there's something captivating about Bastille's alt pop. Maybe it's how they manage to beautifully layer different sounds? Maybe it's Dan Smith's profound lyrics? Maybe it's the influence of growing up in the UK in the 1980s? Whatever is, I love it and Dan's lyrics are particularly relevant right now. We indeed live in a wild world.
